The Challenge
Traffic Jams had no website at all — a well-reviewed Nanaimo install shop that existed online only as a Google listing. The two local competitors both had sites, and both made the same two omissions: no prices anywhere, and no photographs of their actual work. Someone pricing a dashcam or remote start install had no way to find out what it costs or what the finished job looks like without picking up the phone, and every inquiry that did come in arrived without the one detail needed to quote it — the customer’s vehicle.
The Solution
A hand-built static site that answers those questions before the phone rings: posted install pricing derived from the shop’s real labour rate, real photography from Josh’s bays and finished installs instead of stock imagery, and a contact form that captures the exact year, make, and model up front so a quote can come back on the first reply. Its own search-intent pages give each service — dashcams, audio, remote start, 12V wiring, ambient lighting — a page built around the way people actually search for it in Nanaimo.
Custom Functionality
- A live Year / Make / Model vehicle picker on the contact form, backed by the NHTSA vPIC vehicle database — models load on demand for the selected year and make, so an inquiry arrives with the vehicle already identified instead of needing a follow-up email.
- Service deep-linking across the whole site: every “Book This” and “Inquire” button carries the service it came from through to the contact form, which pre-selects the matching option — the visitor never re-picks something they already chose.
- Five dedicated Nanaimo service-intent landing pages (dashcam, car audio, remote start, 12V electrical, ambient lighting), each carrying its own Service structured data alongside the AutoRepair schema on the homepage.
- Posted labour-rate pricing on the services page — the one thing neither local competitor publishes — plus a browsable digital catalog that routes to an inquiry rather than a checkout, matching how the shop actually quotes work.
