Pricing

Clear pricing for a custom website.

Choose the type of website you need, then pay upfront or spread the cost across a monthly plan.

All prices in Canadian dollars, before applicable tax.

Choose your website

Four website types. Pay upfront, or monthly.

Every type is available either way. On a monthly plan the term is the point: while I am financing a Foundation, Growth or Business website I also look after it, so updates and oversight are included the whole way through — Managed Hosting is still $30/month on top, the same as on an upfront build. A Starter plan is the exception: it carries no Acuity Care, so changes are billed as needed. Spreading the cost is not free: at regular upfront prices every monthly plan comes to a little more over its term than paying upfront and adding the same services separately — Starter is $56 more across its 12 months, and each card below gives its own figure. What it buys is no build payment to find. Founding Foundation pricing is an exception to this — both its upfront and founding-monthly paths already cost less than the regular monthly plan — see below. All prices in Canadian dollars, before applicable tax.

  • Five-page custom website
  • One customer-facing tool — a quote calculator, booking form or similar
  • Inquiry or booking notifications sent to your inbox, where applicable
  • Set up so Google can find you from day one

Businesses that want customers to be able to do something on the site — get a price, book a time, or fill in a proper inquiry rather than just an email link.

The starting price covers a five-page website plus one thing your customers can use — a quote calculator that gives them a price, or a booking form that takes appointments. More than one of those, or anything unusual, gets priced after we talk it through.

What counts as one, and what gets quoted
Included
  • A quote calculator — they pick options and see a price
  • A booking form — they pick a service and a time
  • A multi-step inquiry that asks the right questions first
  • A service selector that narrows down what they need
Quoted separately
  • Two of the above rather than one
  • Anything that takes payment
  • Connecting to software you already use
  • Anywhere your customers log in

Business

Five pages, plus a private area you manage yourself.

Pay upfront

from $13,000

starting price, scoped on a call

Pay monthly

from $584/month

from $21,024 over 36 months

Includes 36 months of full Acuity Care — small changes done as needed, oversight of your pages, admin area and data, and priority in the queue. At the starting price, $860 more than paying upfront, with no build payment to find. Buy the site outright and add the same Acuity Care and it's $20,164 over 3 years. This is $21,024, with no upfront website-build payment.

+ Managed Hosting $30/month, whichever way you pay.

  • Five-page custom website
  • Set up so Google can find you from day one
  • Private admin area with one secure login
  • Edit your own pages, services and prices

Businesses that want to change their own website — edit pages, update services and prices without asking anyone.

The starting price covers a five-page website plus a private area you log into to change things yourself — edit your pages, and update your services and prices. It does not automatically include a customer-facing tool like a quote calculator; that is Growth's job, and can be added. Customer logins, staff accounts and roles, stored business records, scheduling, or document handling make it a custom application rather than a website: that is a separate piece of work, scoped from a written specification, and it starts well above this tier. Anything the site has to remember over time also needs Managed Database Infrastructure on top.

What counts as one, and what gets quoted
Included
  • Edit your page text and images
  • Add, change and remove your services and prices
  • One secure login for you
  • Inquiries emailed to you as they arrive
Quoted separately
  • Inquiry history stored and searchable in your admin area
  • Logins for your customers
  • Dashboards, charts and reports
  • A customer-facing tool such as a quote calculator

Database infrastructure may be required for stored content, accounts, dashboards, or business records and is priced separately from $45/month.

What you own

Once the work is paid for in full, your domain, content, data and branding are yours, along with everything made specifically for your business. The website itself comes with a permanent, royalty-free licence to host it anywhere, run it, back it up and change it for your business — there is nothing to keep paying for the right to use it. The licence goes with your business if you sell it; it does not cover copying, reselling or white-labelling the site or its tools for anyone else.

The full ownership terms →Payment, terms and what is covered →
Set up so Google can find you means the technical groundwork every build gets: semantic page structure, metadata setup, crawlability, sitemap support, performance optimization, and appropriate business schema. It's a baseline, not ongoing optimization or guaranteed rankings; that's what Acuity Local SEO is for (see below).
Who changes your site

Acuity Care covers the work your website needs after launch.

Building a website and looking after one are two different jobs. The upfront prices on this page cover the build; Acuity Care covers what comes next — the small edits every business ends up needing, simply done, priority in the queue when something matters, routine oversight, and a lower hourly rate on anything larger. One service, priced to how much upkeep your site actually needs.

If you paid for your website upfront, Acuity Care is optional — nothing breaks without it, your site stays live and hosted, and you can request work whenever you like at $125/hour. Add or drop it at any time.

On a Subscription Plan it works differently: Acuity Care is included for the whole term at no extra charge, because while I am financing the website I look after it. Once the term is paid in full the website is yours and the plan payment stops — hosting continues at $30/month, and Acuity Care becomes optional again, exactly as it is for anyone who paid upfront.

Acuity Care · Recommended
Foundation$89/moFive pages and your form
Growth$139/moYour pages and your customer tool
Business$199/moYour pages, admin area and data

Prices cover sites up to 10 pages. 11–25 pages add 25%; larger sites are quoted.

Small changes are always included. If a month ever needs more than about 3 hours of work, I'll tell you before going further, and the extra is billed at the $95/hour member rate. Starter sites don't have a Care plan — a one-page site rarely needs changing, so updates there are Pay As Needed. Pay for a year upfront and get one month free — 12 months for the price of 11. Applies to Managed Hosting, Acuity Care, Local SEO, database infrastructure and business email.

  • $95/hr additional work (Care Member Rate)
  • Priority in the queue
  • Routine site oversight
  • Security review
  • Quiet months go into upkeep, not to waste

Priced to match how much upkeep each tier actually needs. There is no meter and isn't carried forward — but in a month where you don't need anything, I put that time into routine search checks, performance passes and small fixes instead.

Pay As Needed

$0/mo Care fee

  • No monthly Care plan
  • Request website work whenever needed
  • Work is scheduled based on availability
  • $125/hr as requested (Pay-As-Needed Rate)

How paying works

Two ways to pay for the same website.

The prices above show both. This is what each one commits you to — stated once here rather than repeated on every card.

Pay upfront

Half to begin, half at launch

  • 50% to start the work, 50% when the site goes live
  • Managed Hosting at $30/month begins after launch
  • Acuity Care is optional, added whenever you want it
  • The website is yours once it is paid in full
Pay monthly

No upfront website-build payment

  • Billing and work both start when you sign — not at launch
  • Full Acuity Care included for the whole term, on every plan except Starter
  • Managed Hosting billed separately, the same as on an upfront build
  • A fixed initial term, shown with each price above
  • The website is yours once the term is paid in full
  • After that the plan payment stops — hosting continues at $30/month and Acuity Care becomes optional

Third-party costs such as domain registration, business email, payment-provider fees, and specialized software are billed separately where applicable.

If something I built breaks

If something I built doesn't work as described in the agreed scope, I correct it at no charge while I host your site and your account is current, and it is never billed to you. That covers defects in work I delivered, including later paid additions. It does not cover new requirements, changes made by someone else, or failures caused by third-party services outside my control.

Paying early, and cancelling

You can make extra payments or pay the outstanding website balance in full at any time, with no early-payment penalty. Paying off the website early does not automatically cancel hosting or other ongoing services — those continue until you say otherwise. Cancelling before the initial term ends is different: any amount due is calculated exactly as set out in your agreement before work begins.

Typical small changes, and what is not included

Business hours, phone, email & address changes · Service description updates · Small text changes & corrections · Photo replacements · Seasonal announcements & holiday closures

Not included: Update time — content or design changes are billed as needed · Additional pages or major redesigns · New functionality, calculators, or quoting tools · E-commerce or custom applications · Copywriting, photography, or major SEO campaigns. Growth and Business have their own included/excluded scope — see each plan's features above.

Starter includes no Acuity Care. Content or design changes are billed at the Pay As Needed rate of $125/hour, or at the Care Member Rate of $95/hour if you add Acuity Care. Acuity Care can be added or dropped at any point during your term.

Ownership and cancellation details

Once your initial term is paid in full, the monthly plan payment stops — hosting continues at $30/month if you keep it with me, plus Managed Database Infrastructure from $45/month if your site needs it, and Acuity Care becomes optional from there. From then on the website is yours to keep on exactly the same terms as one bought upfront. Your licence and your right to use the website continue permanently once it is paid for. Managed Hosting, monitoring, support and my code warranty continue only while I host it. Moving hosts may still break functionality, and that is a practical matter rather than a permission one — ask me and I will tell you exactly which parts of your site that covers.

Starter monthly plan requires a 12-month initial term. Foundation monthly plan requires a 24-month initial term. Growth monthly plan requires a 36-month initial term. Business monthly plan requires a 36-month initial term. Early cancellation may require payment of the remaining website development balance. Full terms are provided before your project begins.

“He asks questions, gets the details right, and doesn't put things live until they've actually been checked, and his customer portal is super easy to manage invoices and payments. 10/10!”

Managed Infrastructure

Hosting keeps your site online. Database infrastructure powers stored data.

Managed Hosting

$30/month · flat, every site

All websites hosted through Acuity use Managed Hosting, keeping deployment, security, SSL, DNS, and monitoring under one reliable setup. There's no provider to choose and nothing to configure yourself. It's a flat rate, the same for every site — the costs that genuinely vary are billed as their own line rather than hidden inside it. It applies while your website is hosted and managed by Acuity. Once your site is paid in full, your permanent licence lets you host it anywhere, custom tools included, though moving hosts may break some of that functionality — so ask me which parts before you plan a move.

Website hosting · SSL certificate · DNS configuration & management · Domain connection · Uptime monitoring · Deployment infrastructure · Free move of your existing site when I host it. You keep ownership of your domain — domain registration and third-party subscriptions like business email are billed separately.

Managed Database Infrastructure

from $45/month · only when needed

What requires this, and what doesn't

Required for websites and applications that store and manage persistent business or customer data. Covers database provisioning, connection, routine infrastructure monitoring, and normal low-volume application usage.

Examples: Customer accounts & profiles · Product catalogs & inventory · Orders & saved records · Business dashboards · Custom CMS data · Membership, waitlist & appointment records.

Standard contact, quote, and inquiry forms do not require this — they're covered by the normal website setup.

Starts at the base rate for standard low-volume application usage. High-traffic, storage-intensive, or compute-intensive applications are scoped separately. If sustained usage requires a larger infrastructure plan, Acuity will discuss the required upgrade and recurring cost with you first.

Managed Business Email

$15/month · up to 3 mailboxes, then $5 each

Your business email, looked after. I keep the DNS and authentication records correct, watch that your mail is actually being delivered rather than landing in spam, administer the mailbox account, and sort it out when something stops working. One price covers up to 3 mailboxes, and addresses like info@ or sales@ can usually point at an existing mailbox for free. Your mailbox subscription is billed by the provider directly and stays in your name, so the account is always yours.

DNS & email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) · Deliverability monitoring · Mailbox provider administration · Adding, removing & resetting staff accounts · Domain expiry & certificate warnings · Support when mail stops working.

The mailbox subscription itself is billed by your provider and stays in your name — about $9–11 per mailbox per month for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.

Pay for a year upfront and get one month free — 12 months for the price of 11. Applies to Managed Hosting, Acuity Care, Local SEO, database infrastructure and business email.

Third-party services — payment providers and their transaction fees, business email, domain registration (billed by the registrar and priced by extension — .com, .ca, .net, etc.), high-volume email delivery, specialized storage, or external APIs — are quoted or billed separately where applicable. For higher-scale applications, Acuity may set up infrastructure on the client's own provider account, with setup, integration, and support billed as project work.

Acuity Local SEO

  • Keyword and search-intent research
  • Search Console monitoring
  • Indexing and crawl checks
  • Page title & meta optimization
  • Internal linking improvements
  • Technical SEO improvements
  • Local search optimization
  • Schema improvements where appropriate
  • Existing content optimization
  • Competitor & search-result review
  • Monthly performance summary
  • Recommended priorities for next month
What's not included

Not included: Large-scale article writing or numerous new landing pages · Major website redesigns · Paid advertising or Google Ads management · Backlink purchasing · Large custom development projects · Third-party software costs. Professional Copywriting remains a separate service, and Local SEO work does not fall under the Care Member overage rate.

Search performance depends on competition, market conditions, search-engine changes, and other external factors. Acuity does not guarantee specific rankings, traffic levels, or lead volume.

Add-ons

Optional extras, priced separately.

SEO Content Guidance — $75 per page past what your package includes, on every build

Keyword and competitor research for your pages, then a rework pass over the words you send me — roughly half your wording, half what the search results say it needs to be. Every page gets this whether you write it or I do, because copy that has never been looked at is copy whose ranking nobody can account for later. The pages included in your package already have this built into the price — it's only billed on pages you add beyond that.

Having me write the pages outright instead is $200 per page. Any page you don't pick for that still gets the guidance pass.

CMS coverage on extra pages$150 per selected page
What's included

Wires one more page into your admin panel so you can edit it yourself — its own field, its own validation, its own build check. Every page in the five-page Business base already has this. Pick which of your extra pages need it too; the rest are still built and still yours, just edited by asking Drew.

Professional Copywriting$200 per selected page
What's included

Conversion-focused website copy written around your business, including headlines, page content, calls to action, and brand-consistent messaging. Choose which pages need it — the rest get the SEO guidance pass instead.

Blog & Newsletter$1,000, then $7.50 per 1,000 newsletters sent
What's included

The blog itself — layout, categories, and a place for posts to live — plus a newsletter: a signup form on your site, your subscriber list, and sending set up on your own domain so it lands in inboxes rather than spam. Sending is $7.50 per 1,000 emails, billed monthly for what you actually send. Writing the articles is separate (see Professional Copywriting), and posting them yourself requires the Business tier's admin/CMS panel.

Photo Sourcing & Curationfrom $100 ($50/page)
What's included

I find and hand-pick free, properly licensed or AI-generated images for generic visuals — $50 per page, with a $100 minimum, since a bigger site needs more of them. Real photos are always better for showing off your actual work, but this covers everything else.

Domain & Business Email Setup$75
What's included

I configure your domain's DNS and business email — verification, basic email authentication, and connecting everything to your site and email provider. Domain registration and email subscriptions are billed separately by the registrar/provider (domain pricing varies by extension — .com, .ca, .net, etc.), and you keep ownership of both.

Scheduled Deliverytypically $375+ — $75/page, $250 minimum
What's included

A delivery date I commit to in writing and schedule the work around, rather than a best-effort estimate. The date goes on your agreement. Priced from the project's size and complexity, since a firm date on a bigger build means holding more time open for it.

Questions

Common questions about pricing.

What kind of website do I need?

Most businesses land on Foundation — it includes five dedicated pages, lead-capture essentials, and the architecture that makes adding more pages straightforward as the business grows. If you just need a single credible page, Starter covers it. If you want interactive tools that generate leads (quote calculators, booking) or the ability to manage your own content, look at Growth or Business.

Can I pay monthly instead?

Yes — all four Subscription Plans (Starter, Foundation, Growth and Business) get you a real, custom-designed website with no large payment to start, billed monthly over an initial term. Terms run from 12 months on Starter to 36 on Business, so compare the total commitment shown on each card, not just the monthly figure. On Foundation, Growth, Business plans the monthly price includes full Acuity Care for the whole term — while I'm financing the website, I look after it — and Care becomes optional once it's paid off.

What happens after my monthly website term?

Your site transitions to standard Managed Hosting at $30/month — you're not paying the plan's full monthly rate forever just to keep the website. Acuity Care becomes optional from there if you want ongoing updates and priority in the queue.

What does hosting cost?

$30/month, flat — the same for every site, whatever its traffic. It covers hosting, SSL, DNS, uptime monitoring, and your domain connection, kept under one reliable setup. It applies while your website is hosted and managed by Acuity, and there's no provider to choose or configure yourself. It isn't permanent rent on your website: once your project or plan term is paid in full the build is settled, and hosting is all that continues. Once it's paid for, your permanent licence lets you host the site anywhere, custom tools included, though moving may still break some functionality. See “Do I own my website?” below.

Do I own my website?

Once paid in full, your domain, content, data, branding and design are yours. The website code and custom tools are licensed to your business, not sold: you get a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, host, maintain and change them. The licence is not tied to my hosting and can pass with a sale of your business. A separate company needs its own licence; you may not resell, sublicense, white-label or copy the software for another business. On a Subscription Plan, website payments stop when your initial term is paid. Hosting, monitoring, support and my code warranty last only while I host your site; they end if you leave. Moving hosts may break some tools until a developer reconnects them.

Do I need database infrastructure?

Most standard business websites do not. Contact forms and normal lead forms are covered by the standard website setup. Managed Database Infrastructure (from $45/month) is only needed when your site stores and manages persistent data such as products, inventory, customer accounts, orders, dashboard records, or other application data.

What happens when I need changes?

With Acuity Care, small changes to what is already there are simply done, with larger work at the Care Member Rate. Whether you have Care depends on how you bought the website: it's optional if you paid upfront, included for the whole term on Foundation, Growth, Business monthly plans, and optional again once a financed website is paid in full. Without Care, updates and development are still available anytime, billed Pay As Needed — no subscription required.

Why is Care cheaper for additional work?

Care members maintain an ongoing service relationship, so they get preferred pricing on anything beyond a small change. It's not a discount for buying hours — it's the better rate for staying a Care member.

Can Acuity help me with SEO?

Every site ships with an SEO-ready foundation. For businesses that want ongoing, active search optimization beyond that foundation, Acuity Local SEO is a separate optional monthly service.

What will my estimated total be?

Use the Get Started estimate builder — it separates your one-time project cost from your ongoing monthly cost so there's never a mystery number, and sends the breakdown straight to me for your consultation.
